Commuting in Style and Comfort
Become a member of one of the only private commuter car clubs left in the United States and the only one operated by NJ Transit—the Jersey Shore Commuters Club Inc., established in 1933. Running on North Jersey Coast Line trains 3224 (7:11 a.m. Long Branch) and 3269 (5:33 p.m. Penn Station New York), the JSCC is a comfortable, hassle-free way to travel. Membership in this not-for-profit organization costs just a few extra dollars per day above the price of a rail ticket, and the combined cost of membership plus an NJ Transit monthly ticket is significantly less than commuting by ferry (not to mention the reliability of rail service). JSCC membership is open to any fare-paying NJ Transit commuter.
Tired of scrambling for a seat on the train, or standing? Desire a comfortable space where you can spread out a little? Where you can relax or work? Then you'll appreciate our 24 reclining Amtrak Metroliner-style seats with drop-down tables, and our two large tables with seating for 8. Stop into car 5459 (always coupled next to the locomotive), check out our comfortable amenities, and ask for a membership application. Seating is limited, so don't delay!
